Productive day with collage and oils.
The collage is based on a collection of previous drawings and quick sketches of human faces, animals, and mythical creatures. At the centre is megaphone. Two words are present: Weather and Climate. The topography marks of a map and mixed with an oncoming storm. The late addition of charcoal bar4bed wire fencing provide a suggestion of a foreground and symbolises restriction.
Continued work on portions of Michelangelo’s Crucifixion of St. Peter. According to one source, ‘Figure are all placed in a wide circle around the central figure of Peter. People point to Peter to emphasise the focus on him with turned heads and wide-eyed stares. Michelangelo increased the intensity of the light within the centre of the picture to further focus the viewer’s attention on the figure of St. Peter.
