Initial thoughts on my digital art project are arguably restricted by my limited experience with relevant software.
I could create a repeat pattern generated in pattern preview in Photoshop [see earlier e-portfolio post]. This would be only tangent to my overall year-long theme of liberty/community/anarchy. I suppose it could represent or symbolise a break from traditional, authority-oriented forms. It could be a pleasing, zen-like pattern of wall paper.
Another potential concept would be a bit of photo collage mixed with digital drawing, or perhaps only the latter based on historic images of community-based efforts to confirm the liberty of human kind. This might be made using a Bamboo Paper-like application, using a historic photo as a base layer upon I could then trace/sketch an interpretation. A decade ago I did a series of works based upon Catholic saints [example below made on iPad with Bamboo Paper].
Tentative timeline over the coming weeks leading to a 05 March 2024 deadline:
• Research images and experiment with Adobe to improve my skills.
• Learn to use other apps relevant to creating a final project.
• Produce a half-dozen drafts for each concepts
• Finalise and finish project.
