The Event

A judging panel will work through all nominations & select the most deserving winners.

The event will take place at our Dumfries Campus with free Pizza (ticket required), photo booth and awards presentation.

The event is free of charge and open to all Staff & Students at Dumfries & Galloway College, however a free ticket is required to access the Pizza. Tickets will be available until 5pm Wednesday 29th May 2024.

The event is free of charge and open to all Staff & Students at Dumfries & Galloway College, however a free ticket is required to access the BBQ and the transport from Stranraer. Tickets will be available until 5pm Tuesday 30th May 2023.

Voting opens today, Monday 24th April, and will close at 12pm on Monday 8th May, with the successful candidates being announced on Tuesday 9th May.

We are excited to launch our new Wellbeing and 24/7 Student Support Platform & Mobile App, Spectrum Life.

What is Spectrum.Life platform and mobile app and how can it benefit you? 

Spectrum.Life will give you access to fitness plans, recipes, and eLearning content related to remote working, sleep and mental health among other topics. In addition, you will have access to numerous health and wellbeing related rewards such as discounted Fitbit Fitness Trackers!  The platform also gives you direct access to your 24/7 Student Support, explained below.

What is 24/7 Student Support?

The 24/7 Student Support is a confidential in the moment support service that provides support to students. The service is available 24/7, 365 days a year covering numerous topics such as: Stress, Anxiety, Low mood, Loss & Grief, Relationship problems, Substance abuse issues and much more. 
You can access through a confidential, freephone telephone line, an online chat function through the platform or by requesting a call back.

Join us during lunch on Wednesday at our Stranraer Campus for Freshers Fayre.

We have some fantastic organisations coming in, and you’ll also have the opportunity to meet and chat with Student Association President, Danielle Hughes and Vice President of Student Life, Andrew Ritchie. We’ll also have some freebies – so make sure you don’t miss out.
